ABCeX, Inc. connects individuals and organizations in Brazil and the United States in an effort to foster cultural understanding and international cooperation. Our primary objective is to make sure that every intercultural experience that we facilitate is a meaningful cultural exchange, wherein information and ideas travel both directions, the local culture is respected,
and, ideally, ongoing conversations between people working on similar issues in Brazil and in the US are seeded. We will select all of the individuals and organizations that participate in our programs with our commitment to these goals in mind.
How we do it
- Linking volunteers and non-profit organizations in Brazil and the U.S.
- Facilitating service-learning partnerships between universities and community projects in Brazil and the U.S.
- Organizing independent study projects for students and professionals in Brazil and the U.S. These programs are custom-designed based on participant interests and community needs, and may include such topics as: education, social work, development, alternative energy, sustainable agriculture, social justice, architecture, and the humanities.
- Partnering with and supporting other non-profit organizations with the common mission of fostering intercultural understanding and international cooperation, especially those committed to ensuring the affordability of exchange opportunities.
